For the Australian Nintendo 3DS, 2DS & 3DS XL console(s) but not the Nintendo DS (NDS). Items in this category are most often the official Australian (PAL) version but will work in any PAL territory. Backward compatibility: Nearly all games for Nintendo DS (NDS, all models) will work on Nintendo 3DS, 2DS & 3DS XL, but not the other way around, meaning you can play nearly every Nintendo DS (NDS) game on a Nintendo 3DS, 2DS or 3DS XL, but you cannot play any Nintendo 3DS, 2DS or 3DS XL on a Nintendo DS (NDS). Where relevant (usually not): downloadable content (DLC) may be only applicable to your local region, so be aware of that if the item you're buying is Australian and you live elsewhere, or vice versa.
